On the 23rd June we celebrated Ray’s 30 years of Tai Chi Chuan,  held at the Johnsonville Community Hall. About 60 students both current and past,  participated in various forms from the Short Cheng Man Ching to the Long Stick; from Tai Chi Fan to the 42 Tai Chi Sword.

Ray’s wife Hing prepared some refreshments after the group photos and sharing his huge Anniversary cake.

On 7th January 2018, Master Chloe Saw held a most enjoyable seminar at Naenae Bowling Club for senior members of the Qigong Tai Chi Chuan Club. Master Chloe also delighted students by demonstrating aspects of health Qigong. There was then a class led by Ray Poy in Master Chloe’s honour and a Yum Cha lunch afterwards.

Master Chloe was visiting Wellington from her home in Singapore for the first time in many years with her husband Chai Lye and their younger daughter Shuxian, so we were very lucky to have this time with her.

Photo below shows the two tables of students with Chloe and Ray, enjoying the Yum Cha lunch at Lower Hutt following the Seminar at Naenae.
